Make a Joyful Noise!
Celebrating Cantor Rosalie Boxt
Make a Joyful Noise – Make a Video!
A Gift for Cantor Boxt
One of Cantor Boxt’s parting gifts is a video compilation of individuals and groups singing “Miriam’s Song” by Debbie Friedman.
Over the past 16+ years we have crossed many seas – of life cycles, celebrations, and changes. The waters were parted by our temple community and Cantor Boxt lead us to the shore with joyous song just as Miriam did in ancient Egypt. Let us show her our appreciation by creating a video together!
Please film yourself, your family, your Havarah, religious school classroom, TEECC classroom, etc. singing “Miriam’s Song” by Debbie Friedman. Not a singer? Lip syncing, dancing and tambourine playing all make a great video. Please pass this information along to past congregants, students and anyone you think would like to be included.
Recording directions:
- Click Here for the lyrics.
- To ensure everyone is in the same key and following the same tempo, please use this youtube video as a guide. Play the video sofly in the background while you sing (or lip sync, dance, etc.).
- Record as much or as little of the song as you would like.
- Please be sure to film horizontally (landscape) if you are using an iPad or phone.
- Then, email your final clip to Lillian at Lillian@Feldman-Hill.com by April 16th.
