An Afternoon of Glorious Musicfrom Opera and Musical Theaterto Support the Temple EmanuelGlobal Mitzvah Project
Featuring mezzo-soprano Eve Kornhauser and soprano Irina Varamesova, accompanied by Mary Gottlieb on piano. The program will include music by Rossini, Dvorak, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Bernstein and others - an array of art song, duets, arias and show music. Light refreshments will be served following the concert.Proceeds will support education, violence prevention and anti-poverty projects in Central America and Africa. A donation of $15 per adult or $40 per family is suggested. A Celebration of Music at Temple EmanuelSaturday, May 6 from 7:00-9:00pm
Join us for a celebration of music at Temple Emanuel! Kol Zimrah, Mike, The Teen Choir, The Band and all TE members and guests are invited to spend the evening singing, dancing and snapping. Eat a Little Something Catering will provide us with lots of delightful treats and of course wonderful coffee.Calling all Alumni of Junior Choir Kol Ruach: If you are, or know, a teen or young adult who is an alum of our Junior choir and are available to sing with the current choir at the Celebration of Music in honor of Cantor Boxt on the evening of May 6th, please contact Lisa Reff at firstname.lastname@example.org to get information about an upcoming rehearsal and to get the music. Please contact Lisa even if you won't be able to make it to a rehearsal but would like to join us on May 6th.
